John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched a multitude of people through his songs. A lot of them are inspired by Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, Denver fell in over Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's popular songs about his adopted state brought many others to make the move to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame has stated in his report that John Denver was the best singer to have captured Colorado. Denver became one of the very first Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. Denver is a symbol of the state across the globe. It is a fact that when I travel you come across someone from another end of the planet, someone who is from New Zealand and you say "I'm from Colorado and the very first thing that comes you hear is Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was the top solo accomplishment after performing in small folk groups. It was co-written and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track in the spirit of Johnny Cash, but Denver discovered an early version and knew the song would be a top 10 pop hit. Just a couple of days after performing to a packed audience in Washington D.C., the musician recorded the track.
